Scholarships

Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. was founded on scholarship and civic engagement. We honor that legacy by providing college scholarships that help students achieve their goals. Chicago Alumnae Chapter has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships, and 90% of our recipients graduate with high GPAs. Beyond financial support, our members also provide mentorship and encouragement. We believe every scholarship we give changes a life, opening doors to opportunity today while helping build a brighter tomorrow.

MLK Blood Drive

For six years, Chicago Alumnae Chapter has partnered with the American Red Cross to host its Annual MLK Weekend Blood Drive. Held at D'Estee, this lifesaving tradition brings sisters, families, and neighbors together through the simple act of donating blood. More than 100 donors participate each year, reflecting our unwavering commitment to compassion, wellness, and service. When Service Meets Wellness, every caring act strengthens our community.

Midwest Impact Day of Service

Each October, Chicago Alumnae Chapter proudly joins the Midwest Impact Day of Service, transforming one day into extraordinary community action. Guided by sisterhood and a shared commitment to serve, our members lead multiple service initiatives across Chicago that address wellness, legal access, workforce development, food insecurity, and more. In just one Day of Service, sisterhood in action reaches more than 1,000 community members through hands-on outreach. Together, we demonstrate the remarkable difference service can make.

Christmas Connection

Christmas Connection celebrates the joy of giving through sisterhood and service. Each year, Chicago Alumnae Chapter transforms a neighborhood school into a festive winter wonderland where more than 100 members welcome over 200 children and families with games, lunch, gifts, and visits with Santa. Educational gifts and toys brighten the season, while every smile reflects our commitment to uplifting children, strengthening families, and sharing holiday joy. CAC gratefully welcomes donations to expand the reach of this cherished tradition.
